well, comprable to most other peoples opinion this expo had a MASSIVE upside for me hanging out with the somewhat re-forged ChumpForce in the street fighter group all saturday was an absolute blast.
arriving earlier than usual on friday night wasnt as helpful as i thought it would be so i might not be too concerned next time though i did meet some new faces and get a little disgruntled with some old faces and their idiocy.
Saturday as i said was Legend, got straight into the Ken costume loaned to me from Jake Kimber aka White Leviathan, and realising with the wig on i looked quite a lot like Boris Johnson so i alterd the fringe xD.. going upto Jakes room for a pre-expo meetup and chat took longer than planned but was pretty funny watching superglue massacre jakex's shins. and watching Jake and Sam Frain getting oiled up was pretty funny too. expo que boggled my mind at its layout.... reminded me of cattle hearding. getting inside i was impressed we not only had a bigger hall but a better turn out of epic photo op's with the warthog, BTTF Delorian and the Ghostbusters Car all being around as well as large Capcom and Koei setups in nicely spaced out areas. Many photoshoot requests were made and a lot of running around was in order but it wasnt a problem for the mighty chumpforce. The masquerade was when i discoverd the wonderful IronMan costume that i thought was a statue >.< ... and then i stepped into the mushy mess of the exposed rubber flooring which kept gluing me to the floor xD ... i later found out it was the floor sweating >.< ..... the maasquerade was great fun! and the other entries were fantastic, and the night was a drunken mess 8D...

Sunday was slower with less people around and i wasnt really interested in my costume for once so ive hung up my shinigami robes for good. i spent a lot of the day wandering around with odd groups of people, got a brief photoshoot moment with the bleach people and i was off again. spent a lot of time hanging in the cafe part of the lobby with some of our founding chumps xD... got some great photos there. then the epic night.... Okiwari's.., great people, kareoke, a lot of drink... and a lot lot of fun... definitely more fun than ive had at the last few expos. im really chuffed this time! and im planning similar for next time.

Well i finally got around to fixing the shinigami jacket i orderd since it didnt do up properly..... like if i had J cup tits it woulda fit fine.... xD lets linger on that......


anywho its sorted, i added the string detail to the sword, and added string to the top of the spear in place of the god awful thing i wrapped around it before. ive also begun making the prompt step of reinforcing, padding and adding grip to the bottom of the sandals. anyone who has worn those string sandals can probably agree their quite unforgiving.

onto the bugger.... in trying to pack up my spear/staff ive inadvertandly busted off the blade... in a non repairable way >.< so i get to spend another hour drilling out the broken waste and use some of my ever dwindling rescources to make another blade for the sodding thing lol....


In warhammer news ive started building a Emperor class Titan for my space marines ^^ ive seen a lot of enthusiasm for the project on the websites i use and thought i'd make a note here too 8D

Long time since last journal and im pretty sure this one wont get much attention anywho ..
If anyone would like a prop making for an oct expo costume (within reason) i offer my services the only props i seem to have a ludicrous amount of trouble with is making a samurai style sword >.< i can never get the angle right.... even when i draw around an existing blade xD ... anywho... i make them cheaply, sturdy and they look the part if your interested note me or comment on this Journal

In other nudes could anyone give me any advice how to make myself look older (makeup xD) because i want to be cosplaying as Yamamoto from bleach on 1 of the days and i have no clue how xD

howdy people who actually read journals, im in need of things to make prop-wise.... and my mind is drawing a blank, so if any of you have any suggestions (or if you actually need something for a costume thats awesome too xD) i would appreciate some ideas.... preferably with links towards reference

Reguardless of my lack of Poll'ness i have another question that i cant answer.

I have had some brilliant ideas for costumes in the past but always get disheartend by what others say to me reguarding them. so what i ask is, Who do you think would be best as my 2010 main costume (im gonna be ignoring making new costumes for 2010 until whichever is chosen is done..)

Dog - Half life 2 - Kept getting people saying i cant build him for various reasons ¬¬.

Lich King - World of Warcraft - As of today has found out 2 other people are wanting to make him for 2010 (but seeing their previous efforts i dont think they'll do him right).

Chief or Arbiter - Halo - (see Dog)
